New Outdoor Covered Arena with Tack Space and Classroom

The client required a customized clear span metal building with no end columns for future expansion resulting in 150 ft. wide x 120 ft. long with a 50 ft. x 20 ft. classroom.

On this project we provided preliminary design services, architectural drawings, site survey and general contracting for new outdoor covered riding arena with adjacent classroom in an existing location.

The existing location was an open space arena with some services to the location. The project included the following:

- Supply and installation of covered riding arena and classroom
- Excavation and grading of existing arena site for piles
- Concrete piles and pad for classroom
- Upgraded existing electrical services to building
- New water line and septic for classroom
- 50' x 20' classroom with windows looking into arena
- Kitchen area with upper and lower counters to accommodate fridge, microwave, and water supplied coffee makers
- Polished concrete floor in classroom area
- Interior finishes in classroom area
- Two handicap accessible washrooms

The client desired a covered arena which allowed them to operate throughout the year and provide a location for other equestrian events. They have a number of different uses for the facility and are able to put this to use for them and other organizations.
